1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CvMatchMaker ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CvMatchMaker provides:

• AI-powered CV analysis and job matching
• Job application tracking and management
• AI-generated answers for application questions
• Career insights and recommendations
• Job search analytics and progress tracking

The Service uses artificial intelligence to analyze CVs and job descriptions. While we strive for accuracy, results are advisory and should not be the sole basis for career decisions.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload (CVs, job descriptions, notes, application questions and answers). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to:

• Process and analyze your content to provide the Service
• Store your content securely for your access
• Generate anonymized, aggregated statistics and insights from usage patterns

We do not use your content to train AI models. Your data remains yours.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise security
• Attempt to reverse engineer or scrape the Service
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Use automated systems to access the Service excessively
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission

6. Service Tiers and Payments

Free Tier: Limited usage (1 CV, 5 analyses per month, 10 job applications)

Premium Tier: Enhanced limits and features for a monthly subscription fee

Prices are subject to change with notice. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. AI and Third-Party Services

Our Service uses AI providers (Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI) for analysis. By using the Service:

• You acknowledge that your content is processed by these AI services
• AI results are provided "as is" without guarantees of accuracy
• You should verify important information independently

8. Analytics and Aggregated Insights

By using the Service, you agree that we may:

• Collect and analyze anonymized, aggregated data about job application patterns, timelines, and outcomes
• Generate statistical reports and insights (e.g., "average time from application to interview in tech industry")
• Publish or share aggregated, anonymized insights publicly or with partners
• Use aggregated data to improve our recommendations and Service features

Important: Aggregated data will never contain personally identifiable information. Individual user data is never sold or shared for marketing purposes.

9. Future Features and Integrations

We may introduce additional features, including but not limited to:

• Job Recommendations - Suggesting job opportunities based on your profile, application history, and preferences
• Job Board Integrations - Connecting with platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, or company career pages to import jobs or track applications
• Company Insights - Providing information about companies you're interested in, including hiring trends
• ATS Integrations - Connecting with Applicant Tracking Systems to streamline your job search

New features requiring additional data access will be optional and require your explicit consent. We will notify you of significant new features and update these Terms accordingly.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user content), is owned by CvMatchMaker. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CvMatchMaker shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CvMatchMaker from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notice.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CvMatchMaker operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
